The US Embassy is located in Beijing. It has five consulates general, which are located in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenyang and Wuhan.
Guangzhou is located in Guangdong province. It is one of China's five National Central Cities in China, and a major national transportation hub and trading port.
Guangzhou is the third-largest city in China and Southern China's largest city with population 10,334,500 in 2009.
Guangzhou Consular Section, including the American Citizens Services Unit, is located on the 5th Floor, Tianyu Garden (II phase), 136-146 Lin He Zhong Lu, Tianhe District.
The Consulate is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is closed on the following American and Chinese holidays:
